The Fire and Life Safety Advisory Committee was formed in September 1998. The Committee has representation from all areas of Manitoba and meets three times a year.

The Committee is mandated to provide the Office of the Fire Commissioner with:

  • advice and recommendations on fire and life safety initiatives with a Provincial perspective.
  • advice and recommendations on fire and life safety materials to be used to meet the objectives in #1.
  • a forum to assist in disseminating fire and life safety material and messages throughout the Province.
  • assistance in promoting fire and life safety initiatives at the local and/or regional level
