CPAT/CAAT Information & Test Dates

Candidate Physical Ability Testing

General public Candidate Physical Ability Testing will be held:

  • Date TBA (please revisit in the near future)
  • Location Manitoba Emergency Services College, 1601 Van Horne Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba
  • Fee $150.00 required prior to test date. Visa Or Mastercard is accepted, as well as certified cheque or money order payable to the Minister of Finance. In person payment by cash or debit are also accepted.
  • Deadline for Registration TBA

Participants are encouraged to attend scheduled orientation sessions, although it is not mandatory. Those who do not attend will be required to sign a waiver.

General public CPAT orientation sessions will be held:

Participants are now allowed practice runs with the equipment on which they will be tested. Practice runs are optional. Practice runs are held on CPAT orientation dates immediately following the orientation walk through. Participants must pre-register in order to attend a practice run.

All candidates must also provide the MESC with a Candidate Physical Ability Test Medical Clearance Form, signed by a physician to verify that you are physically fit to participate in the CPAT.

Our refund policy is that we must receive, in writing, a request for the refund (minus a $25.00 Administration Fee), received no later than 7 days following the testing date (this policy is also applicable to the timed practice runs).

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED AT THIS TEST.

Dates for the CAAT (Academic) test for Step 4 will be announced in the near future.
