MANITOBA FIRE SERVICE STATISTICS

The Statistical Section of the Office is responsible to maintain records on:

  • Fire Losses
  • Staff Activities
  • Mutual Aid Activities

The Office collects, analyzes and publishes statistical data on fires. This provides both the Office and the Manitoba Fire Service detailed information on areas of concern. This overview assists us in selecting our priorities when planning our Fire Prevention and Public Education Programs and hopefully provides Manitobans with practical ideas and solutions to avoid these instances in the future.

Manitoba’s fire statistics are the results of the dedication of numerous jurisdictions within the Province. The Office wishes to acknowledge our appreciation to the Fire Service, Police Authorities and Insurance Industry for their valued input on fires occurring within Manitoba each year.

The fire statistics listed below may vary in some tables depending on specific criteria used to select information. Please click on the 2006 Province of Manitoba Fire Statistics link at the bottom of this page to view the current statistics.
