Fire Investigators

Fire investigator reports focus on the findings from an investigation into the cause and/or origin of a fire.  Written reports must include notification information, scene examination, data analysis, possible causes, and the investigation conclusion.  The report can also include photos, diagrams, adjuster claims, a police report, a code report and the emergency incident report.         

 

Required Reports & Due Date

  1. Emergency Incident Report (EIR) – Within 24 hrs of the notification time.
  2. FireInvestigation Report – Within 30 days from the incident date.
  3. Notification Forms - Within 24 hrs of the notification time.

 

Report Submission - Internal fire investigation files are submitted to the Program Manager of Operations (PMO) for review.  PMO will forward reports to the Statistician.
