MANITOBA PLUMBING CODE

  • Has been adopted as a regulation (161/98) (Manitoba amendment) under the Buildings & Mobile Homes Act.
  • This code deals with safe installation of potable water systems and removals of wastewater to municipal or private sewage systems.
  • This code is divided into 7 sections.
  • This code specifies minimum requirements for drainage systems, venting systems, water service pipes and water distribution systems.
  • The 7 parts of the Plumbing Code are as follows:
    • Section 1: General Requirements & Administration
    • Section 2: Materials & Equipment
    • Section 3: Piping
    • Section 4: Drainage Systems
    • Section 5: Venting Systems
    • Section 6: Potable Water Systems
    • Section 7: Non-Potable System
