MANITOBA FIRE CODE

  • Has been adopted as a regulation (163/98) (Manitoba amendment) under the Fires Prevention Act.

  • This code deals with life safety for occupants & fire fighters in the event of a fire during the operation of buildings and facilities in use.
  • The Manitoba Fire Code is made up of 7 parts:
    • Part 1: General
    • Part 2: Building & Occupant Fire safety
    • Part 3: Indoor & Outdoor Storage
    • Part 4: Flammable & Combustible Liquids
    • Part 5: Hazardous Processes & Operations
    • Part 6: Fire Protection Equipment
    • Part 7: Fire Emergency Systems in High Buildings
